The Coloured Pencil Chronicles | Chapter Eighteen | June

Just like that it's the end of June! Can you believe it? June has actually been slightly, and I mean slightly, quieter for us here at the Bonny Snowdon Academy and since it's the end of the month, let me fill you in on what's been going on!

New Tutorials:

I have been busy working on some new tutorials. The first is a free tutorial that is up on my website already and it’s a really lovely one as it’s a mindful session of colouring. Not getting bogged down by little details, just enjoying the feeling of pencil on paper and coming away with a beautiful butterfly drawing and a relaxed mind. I have also started a new tutorial for the Ignite Members and I’m really excited about it as it’s a little different. It’s a little girl and there are flowers and a background involved, so lots of fun.

Scholarship for IDAS:

The Independent Domestic Abuse Service (IDAS) is a charity based in York and they do such amazing work. Earlier this year I decided to offer five scholarships to people who would really benefit from them and this month we have gained our third scholarship, which is just fantastic, so we are currently in the process of getting all the supplies and everything they will need together so we can get it dropped off.

Meeting Members:

I went on a lovely trip down to London last week to visit Vicki and she surprised me by arranging to meet up with some of my incredible members! I already knew I was going to be able to meet up with some of my members on Friday but to be surprised on Thursday was just so fantastic! I love getting to meet up with such incredible, lovely people and feel so honoured that they want to see me.

Vicki and I have also officially booked our flights to Nashville in October which I am so incredibly excited about! It's more of a business trip, but I'm hoping to meet up with more Ignite members from the States while I am over there.

Speaking of meeting people, more big news is we are planning our first in-person event since 2019! It's going to be in the UK, but, all going well, we are hoping to do more in the future, and I will be sharing the full details of this event soon.
