NEXT DRAW ALONG

I can’t believe it’s the end of April already! Gosh, time flies and we have had a busy, busy month once again with lots of events happening and exciting plans being made for the future!

Exciting Events in the Ignite Membership:

This month we opened the doors to the Ignite Membership and got to welcome so many wonderful new Igniters, which is just fantastic and I have loved being able to see them start to progress already!

In the live sessions this month we had the pleasure of welcoming not one but two incredible guest speakers. The first was my amazing coach, Susie Pearl who joined us in one of our confidence sessions and we just chatted and talked about things for a bit and then took some questions and I was just completely blown away by the number of people who joined us for that session, and she is going to be joining us again over the next couple of months which is just an amazing opportunity for the members, so very exciting!

I also had the pleasure of welcoming my brother-in-law Charlie Andrew to speak in my Business Drop-in session as he was the one that helped me to set up my business when I decided I wanted to be a full-time artist. Again his session had such a fabulous turnout and the most amazing feedback, so he is going to come back and do another sort of workshop for us which will be brilliant.

I was on the Telly!

I have had so many interviews this month for various newspapers, radio stations and the news, which has just been so fantastic! It’s given me the opportunity to share my story and raise awareness for an amazing charity that’s very close to my heart, based locally to me in York, the Independent Domestic Abuse Services (IDAS).

A film crew from BBC Look North came and spent the day with me filming, then sat on my drive and edited it, and then that evening I got to watch myself on the TV which was just bonkers but incredible.

One thing I feel incredibly grateful for is the fact that I am in a position to now give back and support others which is why I wanted to use these opportunities to raise awareness for IDAS and we have been putting together scholarship boxes to give out to people being supported by IDAS which is just wonderful. We actually got to have a little afternoon in York and go and deliver the boxes to the wonderful women who work for the charity, which was really nice.

New Tutorials:

We have lots of new tutorials that have arrived or are on their way! I now have a new free 2-hour tulip tutorial which is available on my website here, but you can also choose to purchase the full 6-hour tulip tutorial here. I loved drawing these and they’re so much fun for spring so definitely go and have a look at them and give them a go.

At the end of last month I did two live draw alongs, which are available on my YouTube in the Live Draw Along Playlist here, where we drew the eyes and an ear of a whippet, but I have just gone ahead and finished the full dogs head so that is going to be available to purchase shortly and available in the Ignite Membership as well.

I have also decided on my new tutorial! It’s very exciting and it’s going to be the biggest tutorial yet with lots of grass, flowers and a toddler involved, so definitely lots of texture and different techniques involved which I can’t wait to get started on and start sharing with you soon.

As always this month has been full of antics, so if you want to hear more about what I’ve been up to, make sure you watch my full month’s round-up by clicking on the video at the top of this page.
