Who we're drawing!
When I met Trixy and heard her story, I knew she had to be the subject of this special draw-along.
As one of nine rescued puppies, Trixy had a difficult start in life before finding her forever home with Abi, one of The Yorkshire Rescue's trustees. She's a lovely reminder of the difference this charity makes every day.
I'll show you how to create realistic black fur using layering, colour and pressure, giving you techniques you'll use in all your future pet portraits.
The workshop is split into bite-sized lessons released over the week. With lifetime access (for as long as Bonny Snowdon Academy Ltd continues to operate the platform, and in any event for a minimum of 24 months from purchase) , you can draw entirely at your own pace and revisit the tutorials whenever you like.

Supporting The Yorkshire Rescue
A few years ago, a little cat called Miriam came into my life needing a home. She's one of four dogs and two cats I share my days with now, and honestly, I'd have more if I could. Animals are my whole world, so when I decided to give more regularly, supporting a local animal rescue was the easiest choice I've ever made.
The Yorkshire Rescue is a small charity, mainly run by dedicated volunteers, with just one paid member of staff, rescuing and rehoming dogs and cats who've been neglected, abandoned, or simply had a rough start. They do extraordinary things on very little. Their biggest challenge is funding, as vet bills and emergency surgeries mount up quickly, and how much they can do often depends on what they can raise.
That's what makes this draw-along so special to me.
And once the week is over, I'll share exactly what we raised together!

When I teach, I like to show you the full picture: what to do, why I'm doing it, how I'm thinking through each stage, and even what might be going through your own head along the way.

Do I need any experience?
No. This workshop is designed for complete beginners, as well as for those who want to improve. I guide you through every single step. You can pause, rewind, and redraw as many times as you need.
How does “lifetime access*” work?
It’s simple! Once you join, you can come back to the workshop whenever you like. There’s no rush to finish - draw along when it suits you, pause when you need to and revisit the lessons and techniques as often as you like.

When you join, you'll get a full list of materials. But please don't go and buy lots of new things. You can use whatever coloured pencils you already have, and I'll help you choose similar colours as we go along.

I've never used coloured pencils before. Can I really do this?
Yes, you really can. Some of the loveliest drawings I see come from people who were sure they couldn't do it. I'll be with you the whole way, one step at a time.
