In September 2026, over 5000 of artists joined me from all over the world to draw one very special little rescue dog and wow, what a week it was!

We learned, we drew, we shared hundreds of gorgeous Trixys and, most importantly, we raised an incredible amount of money to help The Yorkshire Rescue continue looking after animals who really need them. 

A huge thank you to every single one of you who joined me and helped make it possible.

When I first had the idea of drawing Trixy together, I hoped we'd raise some money for The Yorkshire Rescue, learn lots and have a lovely week drawing together.

I don't think I could have imagined quite how many of you would get involved!

Seeing Trixy after Trixy popping up in my inbox and across social media has been absolutely amazing. I’ve had experienced artists joining me, people completely new to coloured pencils and people picking up their pencils again after not drawing for years.

And that's what I've loved most about this.

Thousands of us made a little bit of time to be creative together – and while we were doing it, we raised an amazing amount of money for a wonderful little charity.

So if you joined me, thank you. Whether you've finished your Trixy, you're halfway through or she's still sitting there waiting patiently for you to come back to her, you were part of it. 

And remember, there's absolutely no rush – your workshop is yours to keep, so you can carry on drawing Trixy completely at your own pace.

The little dog who started all of this

Of course, none of this would have happened without gorgeous little Trixy.

Trixy was one of nine tiny puppies rescued when they were just 11 days old. She was hand-reared before eventually finding her forever home with Abi - and I think we can safely say she's landed on her paws!

When I met her, I knew she'd make the most gorgeous drawing.

Her black coat also gave us a brilliant opportunity to explore something I talk about all the time - drawing what we actually see rather than what our brain tells us should be there.

Because black fur isn't just black!

We found blues, browns, greys and all sorts of lovely colours hiding in there, while also learning about values, layering, pencil pressure, fur direction, eyes, noses and different fur textures.

And they're all techniques you can take away and use in whatever you decide to draw next.

I couldn't create a page celebrating this workshop without showing you some of the gorgeous Trixys coming to life!

I absolutely LOVE seeing everyone's progress and watching each drawing develop in its own way.

Different pencils, different papers, different experience levels – and even at this stage, every single Trixy already has a little bit of its artist in it. 

And if yours isn't here - or isn't even finished yet - don't worry!

There was never any pressure to keep up. Your workshop is yours to keep, so you can come back to Trixy whenever you've got the time.
