As December comes to a close, I wanted to sit down and share a gentle round-up of the month in my Coloured Pencil Chronicles – and really, the year as a whole.
This episode of my December Coloured Pencil Chronicles was recorded just before Christmas, tucked away in my bedroom, and itโs very much in the spirit of the Chronicles: relaxed, honest, and completely unscripted. No polish, no pressure – just me reflecting on a year thatโs been big, meaningful, and quietly transformative, both creatively and personally.
In this episode, I chat about:
- The drawings and commissions Iโve loved working on this month, and what drew me to them creatively
- What December really looked like behind the scenes – the quieter moments, the messy bits, and the gentle resets
- Falling back in love with drawing purely for the joy of it, without expectation or pressure
- The hedgehog I didnโt expect to adore quite so much, and why it ended up meaning more than I thought
- Creativity as the steady thread that keeps bringing me back to myself, even when things feel busy or uncertain
- And some of the ideas, hopes, and feelings quietly forming as I begin to look ahead to whatโs next
Itโs calm, reflective, a little bit waffly (as Chronicles often are), and very much a moment to pause, breathe, and take stock before stepping forward.
Thank you, as always, for being here and for supporting my work. It genuinely means the world to me ๐
